eVPD: The Future of Eco-Friendly Screens
The new breed of Reflective LCD (RLCD) that's bringing color and motion to ePaper.

Traditionally, RLCD has always been excellent in energy efficiency, but poor in color performance. Now, everything's changed thanks to HANNspree ecoVISION Paper Display (eVPD) technology, which enables up to 30%* color reflectance. That's 3x higher than traditional RLCD.
*The actual reflectance rate may vary depending on the specific end product.

eVPD Key Features

Eye Care
eVPD prioritizes eye comfort with True 8-bit color and flicker-free DC dimming. The matte anti-glare coating reduces reflections, ensuring a comfortable view.

Sunlight Readable
eVPD utilizes ambient light , and creates a visible image. This technology makes the display highly readable even for outdoor applications and increases clarity.

Smooth Motion
eVPD application equipped with 60-100 Hz refresh rates and 5ms response time for smooth video, web scrolling, and gaming.

Paper-like
eVPD is a reflective display that works through diffuse reflection. It produces a soft visual effect that's gentle on the eyes with no flicker, minimal glare, and zero blue-light.

Vivid, Natural Color
16.7 million colors in a color space that reflects the natural color saturation of ambient lighting in the user's environment.

Energy Efficiency
eVPD offers the fast, full-color performance of LCD with up to 80% less electricity consumption. Even with the optional lighting switched on, it still uses up to 75% less electricity than LCD.

Ambi
A purely reflective display that’s perfect for day time.

Ambi relies entirely on the ambient light from its surroundings. It's ideally suited to daytime use, in direct sunlight, or in any space with at least 500 lux of ambient light.
Lumo
A reflective display in the day with a front light for night.

Lumo features an optional front light, which should be activated when ambient light falls below 1000 lux. Light shines into the display and gets reflected back out.
Hybri
A reflective display in the day with a backlight for night.

Hybri features an optional backlight, which should be activated when ambient light falls below 1000 lux. Light shines out through micro-perforations in the reflective layer.
