Initiatives
Be fruitful
HannStar Foundation is a charitable organization operated by our parent company, HannStar Display Corporation. In collaboration with the international Foundation for Environmental Education, we run the largest eco-school program in Taiwan.
Through collaboration with high schools, we incentivize teachers to deliver classes on environmental stewardship to their students, and to teach essential skills.

A childhood with nature is a future with hope
The mission of our eco-school program is simple; teach kids to love nature. Too many children go through school without learning essential skills like how to grow vegetables and prepare food. We offer support so they can learn these important lessons from their teachers.
There are many schools with thousands of students in our program. We’re constantly looking for ways to expand our outreach and inspire their teachers with new curriculum.

You act, we multiply your impact
If every eco school trains 100 eco students, and each student makes three good actions in their everyday life, then you can make 300 times more impact by helping HannStar Foundation instead of acting alone. This is the value proposition to our donors.
They include the subsidiaries and affiliates of Walsin Lihwa Corporation, Winbond Technology Corporation, Walsin Technology Corporation, and HannStar Board Corporation.

Well Community
As well as the HannStar Foundation, we also run the Well Community. It has three pillars: WellW, WellsHope, and WellMedia, which all focus on human and environmental wellness. WellW is a hate-free online forum, and WellsHope is a fundraising platform for entrepreneurs.
WellMedia is a video first entertainment platform, run by our in-house creative team. It’s comprised of a website, YouTube channel, Facebook, and Instagram accounts.
