Question: What do I do if my 28" monitor will not go into a Power Save mode when I turn off or suspend my PC?
Answer: If the power light on your monitor stays blue when you shut down or put your PC into sleep/suspend when connected via an HDMI connection, please follow the steps below:

  1. Disconnect your monitor from the PC.
  2. Connect your monitor to a game console, DVD or BluRay player, or cable box using the HDMI connection on your monitor. Some video devices may require that you use an HDMI-DVI cable, this will work fine.
  3. Press the MENU button on the monitor to open the On-Screen Display or OSD.
  4. Use the down arrow button to select the Image Settings page and press the Input button.
  5. Select the HDMI Mode option and change it to PC Mode. By default it should be set to Video mode.
  6. Press Menu button until you have exited the OSD.
  7. Reconnect monitor to your PC and test by turning off and going to sleep/suspend modes.

Question: How can I set up my universal remote control with my Hannspree products?
Answer: Hannspree is a separate manufacturer of LCD TVs and has its own unique set of remote frequencies and command codes. We have not yet found another brand that uses similar enough codes to be able to use instead of our own.

Your universal remote should have a list of manufacturers that came with it. Each remote company assigns its own 5 to 6 digit codes. If your remote doesn't have us listed, you will not be able to use your remote with our TV unless you have a learning remote.<

For DirecTV customers: DirecTV does include Hannspree remote codes in some of their remotes. Their Big Button Remote does have us listed under 11348, 11351 and 11352.

Question: Nothing happens when I attempt to turn the television on. What should I do?
Answer: Ensure the power cord is inserted securely in the television's power socket, if you are powering from the remote please ensure that the batteries in the remote control are properly charged.

Question: The picture is blurry, too bright (or dark), the images are overlapping or volume is unbalanced. What should I do?
Answer: Using the remote control or the front panel to access the On-Screen Display (OSD) menu system, enter the "MAIN MENU" and adjust the appropriate settings.

Question: The picture quality is poor and there is ghosting or static. What should I do?
Answer: Make sure the cable is tightly secured at both the wall outlet and the unit to prevent picture noise caused by a weak signal. Picture noise may also result from external interference (e.g. passing motor vehicles, high frequency machines, fluorescent lighting, hair dryers, etc.). You may need to move the location of your signal cable or antenna away from possible sources of interference.

Question: The remote control does not function properly. What should I do?
Answer: Ensure that the batteries in the remote control are new, installed correctly, and replace as needed.

Question: There is an image on the screen but no sound after the power is turned on. What should I do?
Answer: Ensure that you have not accidentally pressed the mute button and that the volume is at a sufficient level. Make sure the audio cable is connected securely.

Question: There is no image on screen after the power is turned on. What should I do?
Answer: Check if the source cables are properly connected. Refer to "Getting Started" section of your television user manual for how to connect a device to your television.
